WEEK4 - CRAYON MELT CANVAS

Hiiiiiiii. So today I am going to show you how to make this cute crayon melt canvas. It is easy and inexpensive. It adds a nice touch to your home, bedroom wall or wherever you decide to hang it up. So lets get started!

DIFFICULTY: 1/3 // 2/3
TIME: it take about 1/2 an hour - 1 hour.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
*crayons-(range of colours) - $2.00store
*canvas -$2.00store / craft store
*hairdryer
*newspaper !!This can get messy!!

METHOD:
!!!PUT NEWSPAPER DOWN WHEREVER YOUR DOING THIS CRAFT IT CAN GET MESSY!!
Step1: Choose the crayon colours you would like to use. I used red, hot pink, light pink, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue and purple. Next take off all of the wrappers. (this took me forever :( ..

Step2: Get your first crayon colour and put it in front of the hairdryer. Put it as close to the hairdryers as possible so it doesn't take long to melt. It should take about a minute to melt. (make sure that you melt one crayon at a time)

Step3: Once your crayon has melted a little bit take it and start rubbing it on you canvas. You can do a pattern/design. I just decided to rub my colours on in rainbow order :)  (make sure that you don't over melt your crayon so that its falling apart. You only want it to be a tad soft so it is easy to spread on your canvas)

TIP: As soon as you spread your crayon on the canvas, to get a cool affect and to mix your colours together put your hairdryer over the top of the canvas and you will soon notice that the colours bleed and mix.

Step4: Continue step3 with all of your colours until you finish your whole canvas.

HANDY HINT / TIP: Make sure that when you put your colours on the canvas and spread them with your hairdryer that you also make it drip along the edges this gives it a cool affect.

Step5: Once you have finished making your art a good thing to do is to put your hairdryer over the top of the art for about 2-4 mins so you can make sure that your colours are mixed together.

Aaannd that's it you have finished your masterpiece!!
