Today I have another canvas DIY/craft for you. This can get a bit messy so make sure that you have heaps of newspaper down to protect your working space.
DIFFICULTY: 1/3 // 2/3

MATERIALS:
canvas - $2.00 store / craft store
2 paintbrushes - $2.00 store / craft store
paint - $2.00 store / craft store
masking tape - $2.00 store / hardware store
glue
cup with water -(to wash your brush)

plastic/paper plate -(to mix paint colours)
coloured sand/glitter - $2.00 store / craft store
paper towel
METHOD:

Step1: Grab your canvas and put strips of masking tape across your canvas to make geometric shapes. You can put as many strips of tape as you want on your canvas.

Step2: Decide how many colours of paint you want on your canvas. I decided to go with pink and blue. Use your plate to create different colours. Next you want to plan out what shapes you are going to paint and what shapes you are going to put glitter/sand on.
Step3: Paint the shapes with your paint colours and wait for it to dry. I wanted my colours a bit darker so I decided to put a second coat.
Step4: I put on the second and waited for it to dry.

**make sure to wash your brush and dry it with paper towel when you are using a different colour** **The areas I wanted to put sand on I marked with a piece of masking tape so that I wouldn't get confused and paint them instead.**

Step5: After your paint has dried get your second paint brush and put glue into the shapes you want to cover. Next pour your glitter/sand on. MAKE SURE YOUR PAINT IS DRY
Step6: Let it dry overnight. Spray some hairspray to make sure that the glitter/sand will not come of your artwork..
DONE!!!
Make sure you come back next week!
